the last scene where the father questions God is memorable. I wonder why the parents don't ask a man to ride with the daughter. Ingmar said he never wanted to send a message in his film, but this one has. Ingmar didn't use music to serve the drama much. He uses instinct too much
A real goddamn classic, both deep and entertaining. The dialogues are vulgar, crude, raw. The actors' casting is just awesome : De Niro got fat just for the role and fits perfectly, and Pesci is as crazy as always. The fights are incredible, more spectacular than real ones.
